As finding YouTube videos of their performances on Idol was almost impossible I decided to post only the songs without the videos. Sorry I took so long, uploading the songs took me a LOT!

KRIS ALLEN
Born June 21, 1985 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He has participated in missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain, and Thailand. Allen began playing the viola in elementary school and went on to play the instrument in the Mills University Studies High School orchestra, eventually winning a spot in the Arkansas all-state orchestra. Additionally, he taught himself to play the guitar at age 13, and also plays the piano. His musical influences, as stated in his Idol confessionals, include the Beatles, Jamie Cullum, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Michael Jackson. He has described his decision to audition for American Idol as a 'last hurrah' before giving up his pursuit of a music career. Throughout the competition, Allen received many compliments for his folk-inspired interpretations of modern pop songs. He played several instruments during his performances, including the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar, the keyboard, and the piano. After Idol, he was signed with Jive/19 and his self-titled album was released on November 17, 2009. After its first week of sales, the album debuted at 11 on the Billboard 200 after selling just over 80,000 copies, not as much as it was expected.

Danny Gokey
Born April 24, 1980 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gokey started singing with his family in church, but stated he would rather record mainstream music than perform solely contemporary Christian music. He has been the worship director at his church in Milwaukee, Faith Builders International Ministries, for several years. On July 9, 2008, four weeks before he auditioned for American Idol, Gokey's wife underwent routine surgery for congenital heart disease. It was her third surgery, but she died from complications. The couple had been together for 12 years, and Gokey credited her for his success. Sophia was a fan of American Idol and encouraged Gokey to be a contestant, and Danny started a foundation in her name with some of her family members who are also musicians. The foundation includes a program to provide donated musical instruments to students. Gokey, along with runner-up Adam Lambert, were judge favorites throughout the season, consistently earning high praise from all four judges. Approximately a month before the finale judge Simon Cowell said that he expected Gokey would make the finale, going head to head with Lambert but Kris Allen went on to win the season. On September 1, 2009, Gokey announced he had signed with 19 Recordings/RCA Nashville and his country single will be released in November 2009 followed by his debut album in March 2010.

Allison Iraheta
Born April 27, 1992 in Glendale, California. In 2001, she began taking voice lessons with Raphael Enriquez at the Los Angeles Music and Art School, a non-profit community school of the arts in East Los Angeles. Before rising to prominence, she was a frequent performer at the local Latin supermarket La Curaçao and the Los Angeles Music and Art School's annual benefit concert, Stars for the Arts. In 2006, Iraheta won the Telemundo reality show, Quinceañera, where she sang in both English and Spanish. The prize was a reward of USD $50,000 and a recording contract, though only the reward money was granted. Judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson declared Iraheta to be 'one to watch in this competition' after her rendition of Heart's 'Alone' during the semifinals. Her duet of 'Slow Ride' with Lambert received further praise from the judges, with DioGuardi describing her as a 'rock goddess' and that week mentor Slash commented that Iraheta possessed a better voice than most women 'twice her age'. On June 9, 2009, following weeks of speculation, it was officially confirmed that Iraheta had signed a record deal with Jive Records and 19 Entertainment. Just Like You was released on December 1, 2009. According to Rolling Stone, Jive expects Allison to sell 75,000 copies of her album in the first week.

Matt Giraud
Born May 11, 1985 in Dearborn, Michigan, but was raised in Ypsilanti and graduated Lincoln High School in 2003. He used to be a dueling piano player prior to Idol. After his Top 13 performance of 'Human Nature', Kara DioGuardi remarked 'I hope we see you for many more weeks'. On Top 11 night, he performed 'So Small', provoking Simon Cowell to state 'I don’t think you’ve had enough credit in this competition', and compare him to Michael Bublé. For the first time in American Idol history, the judges' save was invoked and Giraud was spared elimination when the judges utilized it.

Lil Rounds
Born October 20, 1984 in Memphis, Tennessee. Before she entered the competition, a tornado ripped through Memphis on February 5, 2008, severely damaging her apartment complex and forcing her and her family to live in a motel. Her grandfather once worked with blues legend B.B. King. Rounds auditioned in Kansas City Missouri, where she received high praises from all judges saying that she was one of the best to audition, and that they thought she was a combination of Mary J Blige and Fantasia. In Hollywood week round 1, she received a standing ovation from Kara Dioguardi and Paula Abdul after her rendition of 'I Will Always Love You' by Dolly Parton. She has slated that her album will be out at the beginning of 2010. It has been reported that she has signed with Bungalo Records.

MEGAN JOY
Born September 18, 1985 in Sandy, Uthah. She used to be a font designer for a company called SendOutCards. According to Joy, she began to sing at a very young age. She revealed that 'I tried out for everything I could think of during junior high, in high school - didn't make anything. Even the choir that anyone can be in, I wouldn't even make like a silly little solo. It was sad. I cried a lot in those years. I've never tried writing [songs], so I dont know whats inside, but maybe its something super different and awesome that, you know, is new'. Joy auditioned in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2008, coincidentally on her birthday. She sang 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man' by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II. Simon Cowell said she had a seriously good voice and he loved it and Kara DioGuardi said that Joy was an interesting girl and that she had an incredible face. I must confess that Megan was my favourite contestant and I hope she had won. She has an amazing voice and it is so unique. So bad she was eliminated so early in the competiton. It was my guilty pleasure this year. Some days ago, she posted two new songs, Incomplete and Feel Love, and she also claimed that an album is in the works.

ALEXIS GRACE

Born June 9, 1987 in Memphis, Tennessee. She has one daughter who she gave birth when she was nineteen. She auditioned in Louisville, Kentucky. She stated that she began singing at an early age. Alexis was a dark horse in this competition, whose potential wasn't shown due to her early elimination. I truly hope she continues in music and that she gets signed, she shouldn't go to waste!
