I'M LOOKING FOR A DUTCH TRANSLATOR, IF INTERESTED, EMAIL ME

We lost 16 contestants last week (Omri Tindal, Niña van Dijk, Nicola Ebbink, Marx Margono, Katty Heath, Sifra Geessink, Patt Riley, Denzel Dongen, Randy Soewarno, David Gonçalves, Mathijs Rumping, Janine Heines, Ron Link, Velorisa Yorks, Jared Hiwat and Pomme van de Ven) and we were left with 16 more. I've named all the eliminated contestants cause chances are that you've already forgotten most of them. This week, 4 more will be leaving us, resulting in a Top 12, a more manageable number of finalists. Who'll be facing the axe tonight? ... This is The Voice!

Ivar Oosterloo

"Breakeven" - 7/10 - Team Marco - Good song, good performance but definitely not the Ivar we saw during the auditions. Something is missing and I can't figure out what it is. It may be that he sounded a lot more original back then. He improved over last week but the song was once more, a little too big for him, making him sound a bit shouty and forced. The non chorus parts were great though, had he done that all the performance, he would've been much greater. - VIDEO

Babette van Vugt

"This is love" - 8/10 - Team Marco - She sounded a lot less generic tonight and while the song wasn't such a killer one, she really nailed it. Her voice was amazing from beginning to end and she really knows how to move around the stage, making Eyelar's awkward dancing look amateurish (which it was). The start was the best part of it cause that's also the best part of this song but it was still very solid. - VIDEO

Anja Dalhuisen

"Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" - 8/10 - Team Marco - Wow, oddly, her voice sounded very sultry on this old rock classic and that made her stand out a little, given that she's always been unnoticed to everyone. Great deep powerful vocals and fantastic tone. My concern is that I don't really know what type of artist she is, is she the Janis Joplin kinda rocker or a Pink wannabe? She has to figure that out soon. - VIDEO

Barbara Straathof

"Skyfall" - 10/10 - Team Marco - So she went for Adele as I advised her not to. I'm glad she did cause that was one of the performances of the night. What a gigantic instrument this woman has! She has nothing to envy from Adele cause her voice is almost as big as hers. Wonderful performance, is Holland's own Adele right here?- VIDEO

I was not expecting to see Babette going home, specially after that great performance. Yes, I know I said I was really impressed by Anja but she seemed like the obvious pick to go home. After all, she didn't get to stay by such a big margin. Barbara keeps being the biggest vote getter so I won't be shocked when she makes it to the final.

Laurrhie Brouns

"I’m Coming Out" - 6,5/10 - Team Trijntje -  The only thing that's improved over her last performance is her outfit, at least it's not as unflattering as that other dress was. She's still singing this diva songs that do her no favours. This is better than what she did last week but it's still on the same vein of irrelevant and old fashioned song choices. What type of artist does she want to be after this? A Whitney wannabe? Because I don't see that being a hit. She's got a great personality though, I want to hang out with her. She looks like fun.  - VIDEO

Tessa Belinfante

"Clocks" - 10/10 - Team Trijntje - Sandra seems to be getting all the hype but the truth is that Tessa's performances are as magical as Sandra's are. What she did with this song completely captivated me, it's incredible how fantastic she sounds without even hitting a sour note. Amazing arrangement, very fresh while still true to the original. And that tone, OMG I melt. It's a shame she's on Trijntje's team, cause otherwise, she would have made it to the final. - VIDEO

Sandra van Nieuwland

"Beggin" - 9,5/10 - Team Trijntje - She topped everything I expected from her with her "Keep Your Head Up" cover last week and tonight she's done it again. Great arrangement of this song and unlike her previous performance it's got a lot more tempo. The only thing I didn't like about this was the way she pronounced "beggin", it sounded like "baggin". Other than that, this was the normal flawless awe inducing vocal delivery she's accustomed us to. - VIDEO

Leona Philippo

"Livin' on a Prayer" - 8/10 - Team Trijntje - This is yet another incredibly energetic performance from Leona. She's got a huge personality and that shows every time she hits the stage. Her smile literally lights up the place. While it wasn't the best song for her voice and she did sound shouty because of that, she's such a great performer that her imperfect delivery didn't matter cause that was extremely entertaining and that huge note she hit was highly impressive as well. - VIDEO

I'm starting to worry about Leona. She's getting way more points than Sandra is from the public and that's not good. On the other hand, I think Sandra might be splitting votes with Tessa, who sounds a lot like Sandra does. Poor Laurrhie only got 7 points from the public, we all love your personality either way!
