Just in case you're wondering, no you haven't travelled forward in time by three months, it's still 2013! However, whilst The X Factor takes up our screens for the next few months, BBC1's rival to the singing competition, The Voice UK doesn't want to be forgotten that easily so they have made quite a few big announcements in the past few weeks. With Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue quitting after two series in the red chairs, two new coaches are set to join the panel. Who? Scroll down to find out.

Announcements after the JUMP...

So there are two new vacancies for superstar coaches after Jessie and Danny announced that they wouldn't be returning for a third series. Replacing Jessie is Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue. Kylie is no stranger to TV talent shows having appeared on The X Factor UK in various capacities, from performing live to singing with Series 4 winner Leon Jackson in the final to helping her little sister Dannii out at Judge's Houses. Most recently, she reprised that final role again on the Australian version of the show when Dannii joined it as a judge.

Aside from that, she has sold millions of records over the years in a career spanning 25 years and is responsible for some of the best selling songs of the 80's, 90's and 00's such as 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. If her sister's mentoring on X Factor is anything to go by, I think Kylie will be an asset to the show and could most definitely be the winning coach in her first series if she picks the right talent.

Replacing Danny O'Donoghue on the panel is Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. Ricky has been the lead singer of the British rock band since they were formed in 1996 although they did not come to mainstream success until 2004/2005 where they have since released four Top 10 albums and five Top 10 singles. With his cheeky Northern humour and his experience in coming from nowhere and building success, I think Ricky has the credentials to be a worthy successor to Danny. They will be joining will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas and Sir Tom Jones who are both returning for a third series.

However, it's not just the coaches line-up that is changing, the hosts will be too after Reggie Yates and Holly Willoughby announced that they will be quitting the show earlier this week. Replacing them are Emma Willis, who has hosted various successful programmes over the year including most recently C5's Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother and former JLS star Marvin Humes. Marvin doesn't have quite as much hosting experience as his co-presenter but he did host a Friday edition of This Morning with wife and The Saturdays member Rochelle Wiseman.

Finally, the third series is also going to be airing at a slightly different time. Instead of the the April-June slot, the series will begin to air in January in order to avoid clashing with ITV1's Britain's Got Talent which thrashed it in the ratings last year. So will the new coaches, new hosts and new slot affect the show's ratings? Can the BBC1 talent show turn its' fortunes around or has that ship already sailed?
